SINGULAR MOMENTS IN TIME

Singular Moments in Time is the debut album from GŁOWA. A multidiceplinery artist exploring themes of light, dark, loneliness and connection through the lens of the human condition.

From the very first ominous and reverberating sounds of ‘Singular Moments in Time,’ the listener knows they are about to be taken on a journey. GŁOWA’s ambient electronic album pushes us through a captivating exploration of what it is to be human held in the temporal immensity of our unique experience.

About the album

Time, the immense, unstoppable phenomenon that drives us from life through to death. Gravity can compress it, bend it, even slow it, but it can never truly be stopped, forever it remains on its relentless move forward.

However for us it’s subjective. Sometimes it rushes by and other times it can feel like it stretches on forever.

Our perception of time (and most things) are from a singular perspective. One point in space and time where each person has their own perspective that is unique to them. Even though we are in this world together, and we share what we can, we are truly alone in how we experience it.

There are moments though. Where time seems to stop. When an experience triggers a shared response. A connection which really says “It’s okay, I feel like that too”. These moments are the ones that bind us and break through the insurmountable loneliness of the human condition.

“Singular Moments in Time” by GŁOWA, explores the inherent loneliness and connection of the human condition through the lens of time.

Mastered on the Black Isle

Singular Moments in Time was mastered by Steve Adey at Black Isle Recordings in Scotland.

The studio was in an old church using analogue gear which gives a rich backdrop and textures to the tracks. It was a privilege to give the final touches to the album in such a place with so much history.

Quotes

“Singular Moments in Time envelopes in sound, ushering the listener not to other dimensions but to the places between them. This is the sound of strange physics, of the utterly alien; not the wormhole itself but in the strange lights that surround it.”

Matt Griffin - Illustrator and former Channel 4 Music Journalist

“Singular Moments in Time by GŁOWA, explores the dichotomy of loneliness and connection through the lens of our temporal experience. Ethereal sounds blend with ambient grains in a study of the human condition via a chronological theme.”

Richard Galbraith - Novelist and creative writer
